We are just darn-tootin’ excited to say that Spillian stars in Werewolves Within, the new IFC Films feature film, directed by Catskills native Josh Ruben, based on the Ubisoft video game.

The wolves and their human counterparts spent three months in the winter of 2020 (just before the pandemic shut us all down) hunkered down at Spillian, in Phoenicia, and a sound stage in Woodstock. They shot at Spillian for about three weeks, and used the mansion as their production headquarters for the entire shoot.

Now streaming and getting rave reviews! It’s fast and funny and a bit scary and more funny and it’s all filmed in the Catskills. Fleischmanns is apparently the center of occult movie making. We’ve had zombies with Jim Jarmuch’s The Dead Don’t Die, and now some furry beasts…what’s next? We’re hoping for vampires.
But in all seriousness, we are truly thrilled to host a project like this! And it’s pretty darn cool to see Spillian on the big screen. (The photo above is a still we took at the Greenville Drive-In at the Catskills premiere of Werewolves Within…love the moon!)
