A hundred and thirty years ago, the Fleischmanns Yeast family built a place of magic in the Catskills.
Five years ago, that place got rebirthed as Spillian. And the reveling began again.
Four years ago, SpillianFest was born. And the reveling got serious.
This year, it’s time to make some noise.
Featuring two extraordinary bands from these hills and rivers:
• The wipe-your-soul-clean driving blues and rock of guitar phenom The Dylan Doyle Band.
• The you-ain’t-seen-sass-if-you-ain’t-seen-this rockabilly of Lara Hope and the Arktones.
Spillian’s magical meadow. Dancing. Eats and drinks to feed your soul. A Bonfire. And, of course, s’mores. And a fiercely fabulous way to join us in celebrating the emerging artists of these mountains.
Let’s sing to the stars. Let’s make some noise.
ADVANCE TICKETS SALES ARE NOW CLOSED.
TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR, STARTING AT 4 PM.

Spillian’s Meadow
Three years ago our first SpillianFest introduced the public to “The Meadow, ” our gorgeous outdoor stage built into the old stone foundation of one of the original Spillian buildings. It was a revelry attended by more than 500 guests. Since then our magical meadow has hosted weddings, workshops, and gatherings. We’ve added a pretty spiff rustic pavilion for the bar, made from trees on the property, the bonfire pit, and lighting to shape the woods around us.
The Music
Lara Hope & The Arktones
Fresh off from touring with the Brian Setzer Orchestra! Winner of the 2017 Ameripolitan Music Award for Best Female Rockabilly Artist, and named the “Best Up-And-Coming Band” by Hudson Valley Magazine, Lara Hope and the Ark-Tones are New York’s premier “Roots Rock n’ Roll & Rockabilly Twang” outfit. They released their 2nd full length album, “Love You to Life”, in August 2017, and have been hitting the road hard, spreading the gospel of American music wherever they go. Describing their sound, Hope explained to Rockabilly Online “I would say we are a new take on an old sound. It’s been described as ‘pan-americana’ which means we use many areas of early rock and roots music as a creative launchpad. Where it goes from there is anyone’s guess, because while we appreciate old music, we don’t want to write songs that have already been written.”
They’ve built a great network of venues in the US by touring heavily, and like many American bands, they have gained supportive fans and excellent press overseas as well. They recently completed their first European tour, successfully spending the month of April 2018 in Belgium and Holland. Hope was featured on the cover of UK Rock n’ Roll magazine in March 2015, and New York’s Ulster Magazine in March 2016. The band has had the privilidge of playing with many of their musical heroes including Joan Jett, Tiger Army, Gary US Bonds, Dale Watson, Big Sandy, Wayne Hancock, and America, among others, and has performed at at a variety of national festivals including Viva Las Vegas, Ink n Iron, and The Nashville Boogie. They spent the summer of 2018 on tour in support of The Reverend Horton Heat and The Blasters, and Nov/Dec on the road Brian Setzer Orchestra Christmas Rocks Tour.

The Dylan Doyle Band
Back for his fourth year headlining SpillianFest! Southern born, Northern raised , Dylan Doyle has been steeped in everything from Bob Dylan, Wes Montgomery, and Bill Withers to John Prine, Jimi Hendrix, and The Band. From this comes a unique musical interpretation that lies somewhere within the delta of Roots, Rock, and Jazz, giving him a style that defies classification.
Touring nationally since age 15, Dylan became a seasoned professional at a very young age. He has played with such notable musicians Rob Stoner (Bob Dylan, Don Mclean), John Platania (Van Morrison, Natalie Merchant), Ben Cauley (Otis Redding) and Bill Payne (Little Feat). Stoner called Dylan one of the most prodigious players he has known with abundant natural talent. John Platania has referred to Dylan as “The Future.” Ben Cauley, after playing with Dylan in Memphis said, “Dylan Doyle sounds like a young Jimi Hendrix.” In the words of Bill Payne upon sharing the stage, “Music is a conversation. Dylan spoke beautifully and was listening to the musicians around him. His play was imaginative and original.” Attesting to Dylan’s versatility, Dylan has played the King Biscuit Blues Festival three consecutive years as well headlining the Grateful Garcia Gathering, the largest Grateful Dead festival in the Midwest. Dylan consistently packs houses around Europe and the United States.
