Great Gatsby Croquet Tourney
July 6, 1-6 PM
On the second day of our grand opening weekend, join us for a holiday weekend celebration of croquet, champagne, gin rickeys, and fabulous food from the extravagant 20’s…the First Annual Gatsby Croquet Tourney.
Compete for the honor of being the best croquet tournament player in the Catskills! Crowns of laurel, fame, fortune, or at least a lot of back-slapping. We’ll start from the actual croquet rules from the United States Croquet Association and then will in all likelihood veer off into silliness. Wear your best 20’s duds and win extra points. (We’re pretty sure that’s not included in the official rules…). No worries if you’re rusty; we’ll spend a little time agreeing on our version of how to play.

• The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald (you can watch either of the movies instead, but be prepared to argue their relative merits or lack there of).
• For the Anglophiles, The Chronicles of Lucia by E.F. Benson (Perhaps we’ll even have Pimms on hand!)
