We are Delighted to Announce a New Partnership!
Spillian is the newest Outdoor Classroom of the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference, offering a series of their FREE courses on trail stewardship.
NJNYTC is an inspired organization that works with volunteers to create, protect, and promote over 2,000 miles of trails in the greater metropolitan NYC area. They offer Trail U, classes on trail design, building and maintenance, orienteering, trail structures, and more.
Our very first workshops with them are the last weekend in May. Please come and learn about how to maintain and build trails as we bring the old trail system back to life at Spillian.
We are honored to be a part of this great effort, and appreciate, so much, the work that the NYNJTC folks are doing to help us make the trails accessible at Spillian. We will be fixing the old carriage roads as accessible trails, and we will have these open to the public throughout the year. We are also plotting a new trail that will be open to the public all the time, on the lower portion of the property.
Please join us! And thanks to Will Soter and Alex Marra, our new partners at Upstate Adventure Guides, for building this relationship. More on these two soon!
